Suspicious fire in Officer South

Police are investigating a suspicious fire in Officer South after an abandoned property burnt down in the early hours of Saturday 5 November.

Following calls to Triple Zero (000), nine CFA units from Officer, Clyde, Pakenham, Tooradin and Beaconsfield fire brigades attended the Cardinia Road property, alongside FRV crews.

Crews arrived to the scene to find a single-storey rural property well alight.

The scene was deemed under control at around 3.16am.

Firefighters brought the fire under control and declared the scene safe by 6.10am.

A spokesperson for Victoria Police said officers were investigating the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
