POWERTOOLS and credit cards were stolen from one of several cars targeted by thieves in Cardinia Shire over the past week.
Police recorded 11 motor theft incidents between Monday 29 June and Sunday 5 July, including three reports of stolen registration plates.
According to police, the man, who first noticed his wallet missing, was further disheartened to discover his power tools had also been taken from the rear of his vehicle.
It is understood the car, parked at a residential address in Pakenham, was unlocked at the time.
Overnight between Tuesday 30 June and Wednesday 31 July, an iPad was one of several items stolen from the front seat of an unlocked car parked in the victim’s driveway.
During the same period, keys were also pinched from two separate unlocked cars.
Police do not believe the incidents were related.
