Saturday marked 105 years since weapons were laid down in the First World War, with Pakenham residents gathering on 11 November to pay their respects to those who served.
Veterans, families of veterans and residents surrounded the Pakenham Cenotaph for a minute’s silence at the eleventh hour to lay wreaths in honour of those fallen and to hear the Ode.
The day was led by Pakenham RSL, joined by local representatives from the CFA, Ambulance Victoria, Rotary, Inner Wheel and Cardinia Shire Council.
