McDonald and Drummond hold off the challengers at Drouin

DROUIN GOLF – LADIES

Consistency across two rounds has paid off for Drouin golfers Narelle McDonald and Janet Drummond who have been crowned winners of the Eileen Smith Memorial 4BBB Stableford event for 2025.

McDonald and Drummond scored 98 points across the two rounds, finishing just one shot clear of runners up Susie Menzel and Liz Jensz on 97 points.

Menzel (31) and Jensz (33), who finished runners up on day one, took out the day-two competition with a magnificent 50 points.

Round two runners up were Mary Tymensen (30) and Laraine Harrison (42) with 47 points on a countback.

Down the line balls on day two went to McDonald and Drummond on 47 points, and Jeanette Phillips and Chris Knight with 46 points on a countback.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Karen Adams, 8th (2nd shot) Karen Adams, 10th Susie Menzel, 14th Robyn Carville and 17th (2nd shot) Leanne Pollard.

Saturday April 26 was a Stableford event for the women and the winner was Ciara Davies (20) with 35 points and runner up was Marg Purcell (16) with 33 points.

This week’s event is the Grandmother’s Trophy Stableford followed by May Monthly Medal Stroke Day on May 6.

Tuesday May 13 is the Foursomes Championship played over 27 holes or 18 holes.
