A past reality TV show contestant is stepping into the kitchen to help raise money for mental health awareness.
Married at First Sight star Anthony Cincotta of Beaconsfield will be joining chef Sam Overton from Bootleg Italian, Paddington for the livestreamed charity cook-a-long, ‘Bone Apple Tea’.
The duo will be creating a plant-based Italian dish, with an initial $10 from each ticket purchased going towards the Beyond Blue Foundation which supports Australians to achieve their best possible mental health.
“I’m a big foodie and enjoy whipping up my favourite dishes in the kitchen, although I do admit I’d die without my air fryer,” Anthony said.
“I can’t wait to show Australia this other side of me. There’s nothing better than preparing a home-cooked meal with friends in the kitchen.
“A livestream means all Aussies can get into the kitchen with me and join in the fun.”
The event follows the success of the first live cook-a-long with Love on the Spectrum’s Michael Theo.
Bringing people together via a shared love of food, Bone Apple Tea’s livestream cook-a-longs will be hosted monthly by an Australian celebrity and chef, providing a fun and interactive experience from the comfort of your home.
“Many of us have felt completely disconnected from others of late due to the pandemic, lockdowns, and more,” Bone Apple Tea founder Andres Marin said.
“Food has a special way of bringing communities together and we are looking forward to getting everyone back together in the kitchen, creating and eating delicious home-cooked food.”
Tickets to the live cook-a-long can be purchased for $49 directly from the website boneappletea.live/join-here, with the second live class taking place on Tuesday 9 August at 6.30pm AEST.
Members will receive access to an exclusive Facebook group, where all the cook-a-longs will be streamed live, as well as recipe cards with ingredient lists and instructions, access to replay the live streamed videos on demand, the option to interact and ask questions of the celebrities and chefs on the day and more.
