Two in hospital following Kooweerup collisions

Cardinia Highway Patrol attended two separate collisions within hours in Kooweerup, with two drivers sustaining injuries.

During the afternoon of Saturday 23 July, a vehicle travelling on Kooweerup-Longwarry Road lost control on wet roads and crashed into a drain.

The driver sustained minor injuries and went to hospital.

Two hours later on the South Gippsland Highway, a motorcycle lost traction on the wet roads and crashed.

The rider went to hospital with a suspected broken arm and facial injuries.

Cardinia Highway Patrol is urging all road users to take extra care on the road, especially in unfamiliar areas and in wet conditions.
