Speedster caught in Beaconsfield

A man from Officer has been caught speeding almost 70km/h over the limit in Beaconsfield.

The 26-year-old driver from Officer was nabbed by Cardinia Highway Patrol while they were conducting speed detection duties Friday 19 November.

Police said the red Holden sedan was doing 118km in a 50km/h zone on Kenilworth Avenue in Beaconsfield.

The driver had his car impounded for 30 days at a cost of $895.

He will be charged on summons with exceeding the speed limit by 45km/h or more and speed dangerous.
