Gumbuya World celebrates reopening

After three months of lockdown, the team at Gumbuya World are thrilled to be reopening their doors for plenty of family fun this coming weekend.

The famous Tynong fun park, (Victoria’s only water, wildlife and theme park) is ready and raring to go – and just in time for summer!

Visitors will be welcomed back with open arms on Saturday 20 November and will be able to enjoy all four worlds, including the iconic water park, ‘Oasis Springs’, all weekend long.

Throughout November, Victorian’s can unlock their wild side at all four worlds (Oasis Springs, Oz Adventure, Outback Explorers and the Wildlife Trail) which will be open from 10.00am to 5.00pm daily.

The CEO of Gumbuya World, Ron Weinzierl, said that after nearly two years of harsh lockdowns, the whole team couldn’t wait to open the doors and welcome Victorians back to the theme park.

“With the warmer months just around the corner, we can’t wait for families to visit our thrilling rides, iconic Aussie wildlife and of course, our epic water park,” Mr Weinzierl said.

For families looking for extra fun these holidays, the park’s Oz Adventure world is back with its biggest ride ‘the rebel’ and its popular ‘tree swing’, that reaches speeds of up to 60km/ph.

For little adventurers there is the Outback Explorers world, packed with plenty of fun for the little ones including dodgem cars, the outback pirate ship and the super sweet berry twirl teacups.

Oasis Springs, Gumbuya’s famous water park, underwent a $10 million expansion in 2019 and will be back to help families cool off and make a splash this summer.

Visitors of all ages can enjoy ‘the break’, a massive wave pool, plus its famous water slides including the adrenaline inducing ‘boomerango’ and the ‘red belly racer’.

With more than 50 species of animals on display, the Wildlife Trail is the perfect destination to spot Gumbuya’s furry-favourites and fall in love with a very cute baby koala!

With something for everyone, Gumbuya is the perfect fun-filled destination for the whole family this summer holidays, and just a stone’s throw from Pakenham!
