House fire in Pakenham

Emergency services are currently at the scene of a house fire in Pakenham.

Firefighters were called to the house on Drysdale Street at about 12.45pm on Thursday 14 October.

Police at the scene confirmed that one person had been injured in the fire, and was currently being treated by paramedics.

The street has been blocked off to traffic, as firefighters work to control the blaze, which appears to have originated in the garage and possibly spread to the house.

Police at the scene said that at this stage, the fire was “looking accidental”, but investigations were ongoing.

More to come.
