Day of days

AUSTRALIA Day never ceases to amaze me. Every year my family and I go to the Hampton Park celebrations, and we just love it!
So many people from every corner of the globe, coming together and celebrating this special day. We are all migrants of some sort, whether first, second or 10th generation, and never forget our roots, but at the same time we are so proud to call ourselves Australians. Having witnessed the harmony of Australia Day, every year, makes me wonder why Tony Abbott, some people in his cabinet and most of the mainstream media don’t take a leaf out of the book of the average Australian?
There’s an old Native American proverb saying that “inside all of us there are two wolves. One is good and one is evil. Which one wins? The one you feed the most?“
Florin Bordei,
Hampton Park.
