Show sports new feel

By DANIELLE GALVIN

THE Pakenham Show was “taken to the next level” this year with a new venue and a new feeling.
Pakenham Show president Geoff Young said the show was a great day with the sun shining and plenty of families supporting the 100 year show.
“We witnessed with the new concept of a free entry show a community spirit with community involvement,” he said.
“All the animals, pavilion, entertainment and good-old fashion events (ferret racing, gumboot throwing, iron man or iron woman, dog high jump and paper plane competitions) and the multicultural theme helped make the show an overwhelming success.
“A sincere thankyou to the committee, section heads, volunteers, sponsors, Pakenham Library, Pakenham Living Learning Centre, friends and family for your wonderful community spirit.”
Mr Young said it was a new start for the show with the support of Cardinia Shire Council.
Living Learning Pakenham, Pakenham Library and Hall were also involved in the show this year.
