IT’S not every day you get to see the face behind the voice on your regular radio station.
While you may know the name and the sound of his voice, see Huw Joseph in the flesh when the Warragul-based comedic singer songwriter performs at the Warragul Club Downtowner.
It’s his group’s first performance in Warragul and Huw said he was most excited to perform in front of his own community and people he knew.
The singer/songwriter has a strong background including 300 shows in his five-year career across all of Australia.
Together with his Immortal Support band, the Warragul musician is backed by some of Melbourne’s finest musicians and the standard of the show is expected to be exceptional.
After building a reputation as a talented, quirky and unpredictable performer, his radio-style tunes combined with irrelevant humour will have you shouting for more.
Huw blasted his way into the commercial radio breakfast host role for Suthern Cross Austereo, earning a nomination for the ‘Best Newcomer On-Air” at last year’s ACRA’s.
Huw said he had “stars in his eyes” from a young age, with the influence of his uncles who toured the UK and across Asia in a band.
Huw and the Immortal Support band invite you into their world where comedy and melodic rock pop meet, for a one-off show at the Warragul Club Downtowner, featuring a special guest solo performance from Dominic Finley.
The night will be hosted by Star FM’s very own and former big brother contestant Stacey Wren to add to the spectacular night which guarantees entertainment.
The group will visit the club on Friday 21 March, with doors opening at 9pm for a midnight finish.
Tickets cost $20 or pre-sale is available by visiting www.warraguldowntowner.com.au or contacting 5623 1520.
