MAJOR updates to Bald Hill Road in Pakenham are now complete.
After an inspection confirmed that the road required updates due to safety concerns and the need for pedestrian and bicycle access, works began in November last year.
Updates included reconstructing the road, installing two pedestrian islands (near Henty Street and Webster Way), and bicycle lanes in both directions as well as footpath links to the existing footpath.
These additional footpaths linked the homes south of Bald Hill Road to the Pakenham Central Business District and the Pakenham Regional Tennis Centre.
Constructions cost $690,000,and was provided by the Australian Government’s Roads to Recovery funding allocation.
Road’s now safe
