MORE than 120 senior citizens from Hampton Park and surrounds enjoyed morning tea and a chat with Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley and State Opposition Leader Daniel Andrews last week.
Mr Andrews visited Hampton Park Uniting Church for the event, after launching Ms Graley’s campaign for more beds at Casey Hospital and listening to residents’ concerns about the Take A Break Funding Cuts at the Berwick Neighbourhood Centre.
Ms Graley interviewed Mr Andrews about these topics before they enjoyed a chat and a cuppa with guests.
“It was great for residents to get to know Daniel in a relaxed, warm and welcoming environment,” Ms Graley said.
The event was one of the annual seniors’ morning teas hosted by Ms Graley.
Ms Graley said she had been spending a lot of time speaking with seniors about their needs and requirements from government.
“One of my major priorities as a local MP is to ensure that seniors receive the services and support they deserve from government,” Ms Graley said
“My door is always open to seniors who require assistance in any matter.”
Ms Graley said she was pleased that everyone had a great time at the morning tea.
“The event was a great opportunity for seniors to have a chat with Daniel and I, as well as raise important issues with us.”
