AN armed man drove away empty-handed after making demands for cash at a drive-through window at Doveton McDonald’s.
Detective Sergeant Peter Sterling of Frankston’s Embona taskforce said the incident occurred on Saturday, 28 January about 9pm. Det Sgt Sterling said the man stopped at the first drive-through window and produced what was believed to be a small silver hand gun. The man then asked for cash to be placed in a bag.
“When the young girl became scared he started to laugh and the girl said ‘this is not funny’ and the man then drove off,” Det Sgt Sterling said.
The man has been described as aged in his early 20s with short blond hair and of southern European appearance.
Police believe he may have been driving a green Toyota Rav 4 at the time.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Sergeant Peter Sterling of Embona Taskforce on 9784 5543 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
