THE Casey Tiger Sharks were impressive at a swim meeting last Sunday at the YMCA Cranbourne Indoor Pool.

More than 180 swimmers from 26 clubs competed for the medals and prizes on offer.
At the sprint meet, hosted by the Tiger Sharks, many fierce swimmers keenly contested each event, obviously enthused after the Commonwealth Games.
Casey Tiger Sharks won an impressive total of 73 medals (17 gold, 27 silver and 29 bronze).
Medal winners included Luke Drakeford (five), Jake Bryant (five), Renton Lewis (four), Darcy Merlo (four), Erin Haverkamp (four), Mackenzie Cunningham (four), Kody Davidson (four), Lewis Mitchell (four), Emma Van Overdyk (four) and Jake Duggan (two).
There were also many individual medal winners.
A number of personal best times were also recorded on the day.
Kirsten Glebou achieved five bests, including taking a whopping 25 seconds off her 100-metre freestyle time of 1:40 and 13 seconds off her 100-metre individual medley with 1:47.
Shannae Etheve took six seconds off her 50-metre breaststroke in a time of 1:00.
Brooke Glebou shaved 20 seconds off her 100-metre freestyle time, touching in 1:27.
Laura May, who won gold in the 50-metre backstroke, took four seconds from her previous personal best.
Head coach of the Casey Tiger Sharks, Ben Hiddlestone, said the meeting was an outstanding success.
“All the swimmers enjoyed themselves and the competition,” he said.
“Everyone has continued to improve and setting a personal best time really shows effort and maturity.”
