Pub cash grab

AN ARMED man escaped with cash on Monday following a hold-up at the Fountain Gate Taverner Hotel in Narre Warren.
About 3.20pm a man entered the gaming area of the hotel at Westfield Shopping Centre in Magid Drive, produced a knife and demanded money from two cashiers. The cashiers moved back towards an office door, where the bandit ordered them to open the drawer.
When one cashier opened a drawer the bandit reached across and grabbed cash.
The bandit then fled towards an underground car park at the shopping centre.
Anyone with information was asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
