A FAMILY dispute over unpaid rent turned ugly early Saturday morning when a shotgun was allegedly held to a man’s head in an Endeavour Hills home.
Police said the incident occurred just after midnight when a 39-year-old Endeavour Hills man visited the Puffin Court home of his daughter, her fiancee and their 18-month-old child.
A 39-year-old man from Frankston accompanied him.
Police said the man entered the home and made demands for $600 in unpaid rent.
A baseball bat and a sawn-off shotgun were produced during the dispute and police were called to the home at 1.20am after the two men had fled.
Two men will be charged on summons and will appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court at a later date to face various pistol offences and aggravated burglary charges.
