LOCALS enjoyed Bic Macs guilt-free on Saturday to raise funds for Ronald McDonald House Charities.
Pakenham McDonald’s raised more than $7500 on McHappy Day, one of Australia’s largest annual fundraising events.
Big Brother contestant and Pakenham resident Travis Perkins provided a helping hand on the day selling wrist bands, while the store played host to a battle of the bands contest.
Pakenham McDonald’s hostess Kelly Mott said donations were still being totalled, but it was likely that more than $7500 had been raised from the sale of Big Macs, wristbands, a raffle and the store’s tin shake.
All money raised at McDonald’s outlets throughout the country on Saturday will go towards developing programs at Ronald McDonald House, helping seriously ill children and their families.
Ms Mott thanked local businesses for supporting the event.
