Take care at turns, say police

POLICE are urging residents to take extra care when executing right hand turns after two collisions on the Princes Highway last week.
A Pakenham man escaped with minor injuries after the car he was driving collided with a Toyota Hilux utility at the intersection of Princes Highway and Purton Road last Thursday.
The 41-year-old man was turning right into Purton Road in his Daewoo Nubira station wagon at 11.35pm when the incident occurred.
He has been issued with an infringement notice for not giving way to traffic driving east along the Princes Highway.
The Toyota Hilux driver, a 63-year-old Cranbourne North man, escaped uninjured.
Early on Saturday morning a Nissan light truck and a Nissan Pulsar sedan collided at the Princes Highway and McGregor Road intersection.
The driver of the Nissan light truck, a 26-year-old Pakenham man, and the driver of the Nissan Pulsar, a 32-year-old Mt Waverley man, both sustained minor injuries.
A 60-year-old Pakenham woman, an occupant of the light truck, was taken to Casey Hospital.
Sergeant Peter Garton said motorists should take care when executing right hand turns.
Sgt Garton also said drivers should be careful navigating the McGregor Road-Princes Highway intersection which is Pakenham’s number one blackspot.
