THE Warming up for the Games event in Pakenham this Sunday will have a professional touch, with two elite Commonwealth Games athletes appearing as guest speakers.
Residents will get the chance to meet and ask questions of champion netballer Eloise SouthbyHalbish and under 21 Australian hockey representative Chris Ciriello.
The athletes will appear at the Cardinia Converge event, which will see people from all Cardinia’s townships ‘converge’ at Cardinia Cultural Centre, Lakeside Drive, Pakenham, for a day of free, gamesthemed fun from 10am onwards. Activities will include sports, a group exercise session, ‘township walk around the lake’ competition, a talk by a Commonwealth Games athlete, and a healthy eating/nutrition talk.
