
DROUIN LADIES GOLF
It was a massive week for the women members at Drouin Golf and Country Club with the playing of the 2025 Club Foursomes Championships on Tuesday May 13.
Three titles were up for grabs with the Club Foursomes Championships being contested over 27 holes, while two handicap titles were played for over 18 and 27 holes.
The winners of the Foursomes Championship were Kay Feaver (13) and Sharon Rippon (15) with a scratch score of 138 for 27 holes.
The winners of the 27-hole handicap event were Susie Menzel (33) and Liz Jensz (34) with a nett score of 111, while the winners of the 18-hole handicap event were Michelle Fairlie (23) and Marg
Purcell (16) with a nett score of 74.5…winning via a countback.
Down the line balls went to Jeanette Phillips and Marg Murray with 74.5 nett, Janet Drummond and Ethel Manley with 76 nett and Sue Hatfield and Karen Adams with 77.5 nett.
The winner of Saturday’s stableford event was Ciara Davies (20) with 28 points.
This week is an individual Stableford event, followed by the Anthony Bambridge 4BBB event on May 27 and then the June Monthly Medal Day on June 3.
There will be a nine-hole Ambrose for any interested ladies in the afternoon on Saturday May 31, followed by refreshments and platters.
