Sizzling Stewart takes home the medal

With the wet weather subsiding and the course at Drouin Golf and Country Club drying out extremely well…89 players were keen to tee it up for October’s Monthly Medal.

The medal went to Mark Stewart, who blitzed the back nine, finishing the day with nett 68 and also winning B Grade.

Runner Up in B Grade went to Shaun Doak with nett 69.

C Grade winner for the day was Luke Vanderlight with nett 68, while Shane Dehaan finished runner up on nett 70.

Chris Perry was the leading scorer in A Grade, winning with a nett 69 ahead of Ryan Hammond who shot a nett 72.

The Super Six winner for the day was Chris Stoker with 16 points.

Down the lines went to Dave Johnson 72, Kevin Thorpe 72, Shane Dwyer 73, Bob Naismith 73, Mick Lithgow 73, Shane Davidson 73, Paul Barratt 74, Peter Phillips 74, Ian Bertolotti 74, Matt Long 74 and Jarrod Reid 74.

Nearest the pins went to 5th Dave Johnson (Commercial Hotel Warragul), 8th David Lillis (Sharkey’s Barbershop), 10th Glenn Rees (Siam Pesto Restaurant) and 14th Tony Piner (Pro Pin).

T.H. winners were Shane Dwyer and Ken Cooper.

Unfortunately the mid-week Stableford competition was abandoned last week due to heavy rainfall.

Sunday

The Medley Stableford competition played on Sunday was won by Sam Gillies with 33 points.

Upcoming competitions are Stableford for Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
