STUDENTS at the new Pakenham Springs Primary School started the 2008 school year in the healthiest way possible.
Celebrity chef Tobie Puttock made a special visit to the school to show children how easy it was to prepare a healthy and tasty school lunch.
Mr Puttock encouraged the kids to get in the kitchen at home and fill their lunchbox with healthy snacks.
“It’s a fun way of teaching them some life skills and finding out what nutritious options they like best,” he said.
The school, home to 245 students, opened its doors for the first time yesterday (Wednesday), and principal Colin Sloper said he was looking forward to the year ahead.
