ABOUT 20 Berwick Springs Sporting Club (BSSC) members applauded a Casey Council decision to allocate a new sporting ground to their club during Tuesday night’s council meeting.
The group piled into the public gallery to hear debate surrounding the allocation of Berwick Springs Reserve for the upcoming summer season.
The first of two ovals at Berwick Springs Reserve is ready for use this season.
However, both BBSC and Maranatha Methodist Cricket Club applied for the use of the ground.
Council officers recommended that BSSC be allocated the ground and the council agreed by passing the recommendation.
