Council adopts new road management plan

A new road management plan was adopted at the Cardinia Shire Council meeting on Monday 20 June.

The plan outlines the standards and level of service provided in maintaining the roads, bridges, footpaths and other infrastructure servicing roadways or pathways such as drainage and signage that are managed by the council.

The plan also explores how often these assets will be inspected and the timeframes in which the council will intervene to an asset deficiency or hazard.

The Road Management Plan will come into effect in August 2022.

The Road Management Plan is reviewed every four years following a council election.
