Clients and employees at Butterfly Clients and employees at Butterfly

BUTTERFLY Bodyworks staff were left shaken when a car drove through a window at their Treloar Lane shop last Thursday.
Employees were doing nails and making coffee when the sound of shattering glass filled the shop about 10am.
Owner Belinda Malcolm said another employee looked on in amazement from the car park moments after pulling in for work.
She said although the shop wasn’t busy, a client with a baby was making her way through the door when the car smashed through the window.
Ms Malcolm said all staff and clients managed to get out of the shop before the glass came down.
“It all just happened so quickly,” she said.
“We made sure everyone was okay and then got out.”
Ms Malcolm said all appointments for the day had to be rescheduled, resulting in much overtime for hairdressers and beauticians at the shop.
The driver is believed to have escaped with minor injuries.
