Happy to share

I RECEIVED an interesting item of junk mail today. It was from our deputy mayor, Amanda Stapledon, touting for votes in the forthcoming Victorian election. What makes it interesting is that in the same document she has expressed concern for our “safety and welfare” regarding the issue of the neglect and lack of maintenance to potentially dangerous trees in Timbarra.
The opening sentences read as follows: “It was brought to my attention while doorknocking your estate that many residents have great concerns regarding the trees outside your homes. Upon learning this I immediately contacted your Ward Councillor and Casey CEO”.
I would like to remind Ms Stapledon that this matter has been an issue for many years. I have suffered property damage by these trees on two occasions in the last two and a half years; I have personally pleaded to her for her assistance on several occasions and she has completely ignored my correspondence. Not once has she bothered to reply, now all of a sudden she is using her position on the council in an attempt to shore up support for the state election.
The pamphlet closed indicating that she would like to hear from me. Here is my response to the deputy mayor that I would also like to share with others.
