DROUIN GOLF
Ryan Hammond has added further lustre to an already incredible career by winning a remarkable 14th Club Championship at Drouin Golf and Country Club.
Hammond took his impeccable game to new levels, carding rounds of 66, 65 and a final-round nine-under 63 for a three-round total of 194; 22 under par!
Over the three club championship rounds, Hammond recorded 23 birdies and only one bogey and finished 27 shots clear of the field.
In B Grade Alan Storer was the winner by two shots with a total of 247.
Jim Bransgrove won the C Grade Championships by four shots with a score of 266 and Graham Austin had an early 90th birthday present after winning D Grade by five shots with a total of 283.
Mark Allen claimed his third senior title, scoring 226 and winning by 12 shots, while Zach Bambridge also claimed his third junior title, winning by 19 shots with 226.
Handicap winners were A Grade Ryan Hammond 206, B Grade Alan Storer 211, C Grade Jack Carbonneau 214, D Grade Graham Austin 217, Senior Alan Storer 211 and Junior Jack Carbonneau 214.
SATURDAY
The daily competition was scored as Stableford on Saturday with only those competing in the Championships having to play Stroke.
Hammond peeled of nine birdies in his round of 63 to win A Grade with 40 points, while Nathan Thomson finished runner up with 39 and Rod Mepstead was in third on a countback with 38 points. B Grade was won by Tony Piner on a countback from Shane Davidson with both players scoring 38 points; Mitch Baker was in third place with 37 points on a countback.
C Grade also saw the top two players tie with Steven Berry the winner while Lucas Green was runner up with 38 points; in third place was Adam Clark with 37 points.
Peter Fusinato had the best score for the day and won D Grade with 41 points, Mick Wardle was runner up with 39 points and John Wilson came third after a countback with 38 points.
E Grade saw Greg Roberts claim victory with 40 points, Luke Gilberts was runner up with 39 points and Brayden Hoskins was third on a countback with 38 points.
Penelope Bustos was the winner of the Super Six with 19 points.

WEDNESDAY
A great field of 124 players competed in the midweek Stableford competition.
A Grade was won by Geoff Percival with 39 points and runner up was Mick Lithgow with 36 points after a three-way countback.
Neil Stephens and Jim Bransgrove both tied at the top of B Grade with 41 points, Neil was the winner on a countback.
C Grade was won by Graham Kennedy with 39 points and Eric Robbins was runner up with 38 points. A countback was required in D Grade after both players finished with 39 points; Ian Hemphill was the winner and Chris Egerton was runner up, Chris was also the Super Six winner with 16 points.

The Medley Stableford competition on Sunday saw some impressive scores.
Thomas Burrell was the winner with 44 points and Jack Ralston was runner up on a countback with 40 points.
Down the lines went to Cody Andrews 40, Remi Jeffrey 38 and Adam Voumard 37 while Remi Jeffrey won nearest the pin on the fifth.
THURSDAY
The 9-Hole Medley Stableford on Thursday morning was won by Philippe Alleaume on a countback from runner up Janet Drummond with 20 points.
Down the lines went to Ann Roberts 19 and Geoff Closter 18 and nearest the pin on the fifth went to Tim Lawrence.
LEANNE BAMBRIDGE MEMORIAL DAY
Friday saw the Annual Leanne Bambridge Memorial Day and raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation.
A total of 74 teams played in a Three-Person Ambrose Format.
Winners for the day were Lucas Towns, Mike Santo and Wayne Farnham with a score of nett 56.33. The best mixed team consisted of Corey Thomson, Paula Fowler and Nathan Thomson with nett 59.33 and the best Women’s team with nett 65 was Glenda Warren, Leanne Pollard and Wendy Hitchins.
Other placings on the day were, second; Jonathan Miron, Benjamin Miron and Matthew Miron nett 56.66, third; Chris Perry, Ben Clements and Benjamin Hugget 56.80, fourth; Anthony Bambridge, Zach Bambridge and Brad Bennett 57.50, fifth; Simon McLennan, Jeffrey Herdman and Harley Herbel 57.80, sixth; Benny Wyatt, Clint Etchel and Jordan Wyatt 57.80, seventh Lachy Bambridge, Mason McGarrity and Will Gibbo 58 and eighth; Paul Venrooy, Hayden Major and Matt Duncan 58.

PENNANT
All three Handicap pennant teams played at Garfield on Sunday.
Handicap 1 won 6-1 against Yallourn; Handicap 2A lost 1-6 to Trafalgar and the Handicap 2B team defeated Morwell 4.5 to 2.5.
This week the teams head to Morwell; Handicap 2A play Yallourn and Handicap 2B play Garfield both in the morning, while Handicap 1 plays Trafalgar in the afternoon.
Upcoming competitions are Stableford midweek, Thursday (9 Hole), Saturday and Sunday.
DROUIN LADIES
Drouin Ladies last week contested round-three of the 2026 Club Championships; proudly sponsored by the Drouin Family Hotel.
A Grade winner was Sharon Rippon (17) with 65 nett and runner up was Shirley Roberts (13) on 72 nett.
B Grade winner was Marg Purcell (20) with 67 nett and runner up was Anne Neilson (24) on 70 nett.
C Grade winner was Sue Crosby (37) with 67 nett on a countback from runner up Chris Knight (44).
Down the line balls went to Sunisa Boonthikel 70 C/B, Robyn Carville 71 and Marg Rowe 72.

Saturday February 21 was the third and final round of the Club Championship for the Saturday competitors, while the majority of the field played Stableford.
Daily winner was our newest young star, Penelope Bustos (45) who had an amazing 53 points!
Runner up was Christina McGilvray (40) with 39 points on a countback.
Down the line balls went to Judy Dixon 39, Vanessa Campbell 38 and Jeannette Phillips with 38 on a countback.

Drouin’s Women’s Sunday Pennant team had a bye this week.
Monday Pennant commenced on February 23 with Drouin playing Warragul A at Trafalgar.
Next Tuesday March 3 is the March Monthly Medal Stroke event.
Drouin is hosting its Silver Salver Bowl team event on Friday March 13 and is also hosting the Drouin/Garfield Challenge on Tuesday March 17.
