180s and tons getting thrown for fun in SWGDL

It was a high-quality night of darts in the South West Gippsland Dart League with six 180s and two 100-plus pegouts thrown in round nine of the competition.

One of the best performers was Chris Richardson from Snipers, who threw her second and third 180s for the season in quick succession.

Richardson also threw five tons on the night, while teammate Dean Gibbs threw nine tons and a 180, but it still wasn’t enough for Snipers to get across the line.

Mud Rats defeated Snipers 9-6, with Michael throwing a brilliant 180 of his own to guide his team to success.

Another player in form was Brendan from 26ers, who pegged out on an impressive 116 in a 10-5 win over AAA Dartz.

It was 26ers first win since round five a and a great boost for their season.

Predators scored an important 10-5 victory over Just Social, with Steve P in red-hot form at the oche.

Steve gathered quite the collection; throwing five tons, a 180, along with a magnificent 109 pegout.

It was a big result for Predators, who still sit in second place on the ladder.

Top-of-the-table Cheers continues to move along nicely, this time with an 11-4 win over Gembrook.

Ant was in good nick, throwing a 180, and four tons on the night, while Liam was at his consistent best with seven triple-figure scores.

In other games this week, Dart devils bounced back to the winners’ list with a 9-6 success over Bullseyes, while Dart Vaders made it three wins on the trot with a 10-5 victory over Dart Attack.

Generals had the round nine bye.
