Husband and wife show class in South West Gippsland darts

Husband and wife duo Bill and Chris Richardson stole the spotlight in round eight of the South West Gippsland Dart League in a great performance for top-of-the-table Snipers.

Chris was one of two players on the night to fill up the treble-twenty, throwing her third 180 for the season in the Snipers 13-2 victory over Bullseyes.

Not to be outdone, husband Bill threw the highest peg-out for the season with a magnificent 157 finish.

Chris threw five tons on the night, and Bill four, but both were trumped by Snipers teammate Dean Gibbs who threw nine triple-figure scores.

Gibbs has 52 tons for the year and now leads Liam Edwards from Cheers by 16.

Mud Rats have quietly crawled their way to fourth place on the ladder after a dominant 13-2 win over Dart Attack.

The Mud Rats have now won three on the trot but face the ultimate test this week against the top-of-the-table Snipers.

Mud Rats replaced Just Social in fourth spot after Socials went down 8-7 in a thrilling contest against Cheers.

This was a cracking contest between two of the better teams in the competition, with some great darts played on the night.

Shane Barnett set the standard for Cheers with his first 180 for the season, while teammates Liam Edwards (five tons) and Ant (4) both raised their glasses after throwing multiple tons on the night.

JJ Jenkins threw two tons for Just Social to keep his team in the hunt.

Doug Amos was in good form for Dart Devils, leading the Devils to a 9-6 victory over Gembrook.

Amos scored heavily, including two tons for the night, as the Devils held on to sixth position on the ladder.

Jordan Gray was the star for Predators, who maintained their third-placed ranking with a 10-5 win over AAA Dartz.

Gray fired in three tons on the night as the Predators made it six straight wins.

Their only loss was in round one against Snipers.

And Dart Vaders made it back-to-back wins with a nail-biting 8-7 triumph over Generals.

Vaders have a great chance of making three straight wins in round nine with a scheduled contest against bottom-placed Dart Attack.
