Long wait worth it for Rushby on medal day at Lang Lang

LANG LANG GOLF

The last Monthly Medal for 2024 was up for grabs at Lang Lang Golf Club on Saturday and 142 players were ready to shoot low.

Early-starter Scott Rushby (23) was first in the clubhouse with a nett 64 and stayed there all day; taking out the monthly medal and C Grade.

Luke Knudsen (10) could do nothing wrong, shooting 65 to take out A Grade, while Kevin Crisp (21) didn’t miss a fairway and got the job done with 66 in B Grade.

Balls down the line went to 72 nett.

On Tuesday, Simon Vigilante (18) found some form to take out A Grade with 37 points in perfect conditions.

Bill Stainsby (24) got the putter going to win B Grade with 36 points and balls down the line went to 32 points

The wind was up on Wednesday but couldn’t stop Paula Sweeney (22) from playing a solid round and taking out the day with 36 points; while balls down the line went to 33 points

On Thursday a great field of 83 came to play in perfect conditions and some fantastic scores were the result.

Robert Garrett (28) put on a clinic to win the day with 40 points, with balls down the line to 34 points.

Phil Mott and Col Maclean teamed up well to score 46 points and win the 4BBB comp.
