Loughridge leads the way on a breezy day at Loch

After a few days of gale-forced winds – as well as icy conditions – 42 members of the South West Gippsland Midweek Bowling Group family turn up to Loch Bowls Club to once again fight it out for team of the week.

The group was welcomed as always by Pauline and John while Peter arranged the teams.

Once outside, the players were more than happy to play on such a smooth and well-maintained green.

Although the wind was not at the gale-force strength of the past few days there was more than enough to confuse quite a few of our players.

But all players made it through the day with a lot of excellent bowling.

There was lots of laughter as always across the green; so much fun with such great friends each week.

At the end of the day our winning team on a score of 34 was Robyn Dall (3), Max Williams (2), Amanda Bozelle (L) and Trevor Loughridge (S).

Runners up also on a score of 34 was Neil Andreatta (3), Shirl Corcoran (2), Greg Hodge (S) and Colin Scales (L).

This week’s best one game winners on 20 points were Diane Kessen (L), Pauline McWilliams (2), Steve Edge (S) and Gillian Harper (3).

A big thank you to Trevor and Sue for all their hard work as well as making us all feel so welcome.

Next week we will be meeting once again at Lang Lang to continue our competition.

Please be on site by 10am to allow time for teams to be arranged.

Till then…stay safe and happy.
