A huge dump of rain – Wednesday through Thursday morning – resulted in many scratchings from the field on Thursday with just 39 eager golfers lining up in the damp and heavy conditions.
In fact, the overall field was down around the 50-percent mark.
However, come nine o’clock the weather had cleared and remained so for the rest of the day.
Just a total of seven players were able to play to or better their handicap with Kevan McMilllan winning the A Grade event with a score of 37 points, just one point to the better of another inform player in Heath Barclay.
