Cobras gets down to business

The whistle blew for Cora Lynn’s first competitive practice match on Saturday with the Cobras making the trip to Somerville to take on the high-flying Eagles.

The Cobras looked sharp and impressive in their first hit-out for the season, but were thwarted on the scoreboard by the goal-scoring efforts of Emma Ryde, who scored 1000 goals in just 17 games last season.

Having previously played for the Melbourne Vixens, Collingwood Magpies and Adelaide Thunderbirds in the national Suncorp Super Netball league, Ryde represented the Victorian Fury in the Australian Netball Championships last year.

Cora Lynn is building nicely ahead of its standalone WGFNC season-opening game against Tooradin on Saturday 1 April.
