Three generations of the Van Vugt family graced the bowling greens at Pakenham last Saturday. Patriarch John Van Vugt was in action for his club Cardinia Waters, whilst son Geoffrey and grandson Thomas played for Pakenham’s division one side against Bacchus Marsh.
John claimed the bragging rights on the day, with his rink winning by five shots against Pakenham’s second side.
Geoffrey’s rink also had a narrow three shot win, but unfortunately Thomas’s rink lost.
John lives in Cardinia Waters Retirement Village in Pakenham, while both Geoffrey and Thomas are Warragul residents.
