DEEP CREEK GOLF CLUB

After a horror run of wet weather that saw the course closed, golfers returned to Deep Creek Golf Club on Saturday for a stableford competition.

Despite the recent rains, and course closure, rust certainly wasn’t an issue for Marcus Cameron (18) who played a magnificent round of golf to score 41 points to take home the A Grade award.

Andrew Heagney (19) finished runner up in A Grade with 39 points.

Maddison Selleck (37) continues to impress, scoring 40 points to win B Grade from Wayne Lamers (23) who came in with 37 points.

Down the lines went to David Mair 39, Glenn Rees and Suzanne Van Strien 38, Leon Mateariki 37, Mark Stewart and Royce Thompson 36 and Alex Blanck, Ross Stewart, Graeme Durran, Ron Zomer and Rob McCrae with 35 points.

Nearest the pins went to 2nd: Murray O’Dwyer (4.00m) and 16th: Anthony Franzi (3.10m).

Golf continued in humid conditions on Sunday with Matthew Hogan (20) scoring 35 points to take home the day’s competition.
