A wet week at the Creek

DEEP CREEK GOLF CLUB

The unrelenting rain played havoc with competition play at Deep Creek Golf Club last week with only Monday and Wednesday golfers facing the starter.

Heath Barclay (8) continues to shine like a beacon, continuing his impressive run of form by scoring 36 points to win Monday’s stableford competition.

Down the lines went to Stewart MacDonald with 35 points and to Michael Banger with 30.

Barclay dominated the two nearest the pin competitions as well, playing fine iron shots to the second (3.12m) and 16th (2.31m).

Ron Seamer (18) was the other big winner last week, winning Wednesday’s stableford competition with a fine round of 35 points.

Seamer was also the SuperComp Back 9 winner, scoring 18 points to take home the additional prize.
