DEEP CREEK GOLF
Rare beautiful weather greeted players at Deep Creek Golf Club on Saturday as golfers enjoyed the sun in a great change from the cold weather of recent times.
The warmer conditions certainly brought out some great scoring and none better than Suzanne Van Strien (10) who played a magnificent round of golf to finish with a whopping 42 points and a clear win in A Grade.
Van Strien had a huge week of golf, being part of Golf West Gippsland’s Country Week winning team at Mooroopna and Shepparton last week.
Everyone at Deep Creek would like to congratulate Suzanne, and Delanie Lewis, on being a part of the winning team.
Dean Jones (15) fired an impressive 37 points to finish runner up in A Grade, while David Bell (21) played brilliantly for his 39 points and a comfortable B Grade win.
Bell fished two clear of Brenton Hollingworth (27) that had the highlight of his round with an eagle on the par-four 13th hole.
