Berwick woman’s head spins following $100,000 Instant Scratch-Its revelation

A Berwick woman has admitted she was wide awake and had barely slept a wink after scratching her way to an Instant Scratch-Its top prize win worth $100,000.

The Melbourne resident’s winning $5 Crosswords Corners was purchased at Arena Lucky Lotto, Kiosk 2, Arena Shopping Centre, 4 Cardinia Road, Officer.

“It still hasn’t sunk in!” she said when speaking with an official from The Lott.

“It’s a surreal feeling knowing I’ve won. Never in a million years did I ever think I would’ve won $100,000.

“I honestly haven’t been sleeping well since I scratched the ticket. I keep thinking it might be a dream.

“Even today when I went in to claim my prize, I still thought I might’ve made a mistake.

“I know I’ll use most of it toward my mortgage, which feels great. I’m going to surprise my sister with something nice too.”

Arena Lucky Lotto owner Gurmit Singh shared he was over the moon to discover his outlet had sold its first $100,000 top prize-winning Instant Scratch-Its ticket.

“Until now, the biggest Instant Scratch-Its winning ticket we’ve ever sold was worth $10,000 so we were so excited to discover this major win,” he said.

“We will be celebrating the news with all of our customers. Congratulations to our winner! We hope you enjoy it wisely.”

The Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot prize is now $27.04 million for draw 1779, while the Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot prize is now $1.41 million for draw 11064.

Lucky Lotteries Super Jackpot and Lucky Lotteries Mega Jackpot are raffle-style games, which means there is a set number of tickets in each draw. As each ticket number is unique there is no sharing of prizes.

Each game has two draws – one that determines the winning numbers and one that determines the jackpot number. If the jackpot number matches one of the winning numbers, then the Jackpot Prize is won. If the jackpot number does not match one of the winning numbers, the Jackpot Prize will climb for the next draw.
