New Upper Beaconsfield pavilion works progress

Demolition works have been completed at the Upper Beaconsfield Recreation Reserve, making way for installation of the new two storey community pavilion.

Grove Group is building the new two storey modular pavilion offsite, offering increased user functionality and modern upgrades. The modules will arrive in early March and be installed in the same location as the previous pavilion.

The community facility will include upgraded change rooms, improved accessibility, modern amenities, a new scouts hall and a community meeting room for events and gatherings.

Cardinia Shire Mayor Brett Owen said the community can expect to see significant activity onsite as the project moves into the next phase.

“With demolition now complete, we’re moving full steam ahead into construction” he said.

“This new pavilion will provide improved facilities for user groups, clubs and visitors for many years to come.”

The council continues to work closely with project stakeholders including the Upper Beaconsfield Recreation Reserve Committee of Management, who is made up of representatives from onsite user groups including the Upper Beaconsfield Primary School.

“This project is being shaped with the community’s involvement to ensure we are creating multi-use facility that meets the needs of everyone who uses this important local reserve,” Mayor Owen said.

The Upper Beaconsfield Reserve Pavilion project is supported by Cardinia Shire Council and the state government’s Growing Suburbs Fund.

The project is expected to be completed in 2026.
