Thieves exploit road closures

At a time when local businesses say their livelihoods are under threat from Big Build road closures, one has fallen victim to a costly burglary.

Cardinia Crime Investigation unit detectives say unknown offenders forced entry into a business on Bald Hill Road between 9.15pm on February and 11.15am on 10 February.

It is alleged that a number of items were stolen including two deer heads, valued at $10,000.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone who witnessed the incident, with footage or information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
