The Christmas Trailer Raffle, a combined project of the Rotary and the Inner Wheel Clubs of Pakenham has been a great success over the years. It was started in 2006 by Rotary, and in 2008 with so many members of the Inner Wheel Club assisting with ticket sales Inner Wheel was invited to join the project.
Tickets are sold through November and December with the draw just before Christmas.
It has become very popular with local people, and many are keen to buy tickets each year.
Profits are used for projects in the local community.
The prize is a trailer and all its contents worth about $2,500. This year the support was once again outstanding, and Rotary and Inner Wheel members extend their sincere appreciation to the community for that wonderful support.
It was drawn at Pakenham Market Place on Tuesday afternoon before Christmas and the lucky winner was Mark Hillard, with ticket number 9440.
