Police swarm on teens

Police have charged three people following an alleged aggravated carjacking in Hampton Park and pursuit during the early hours of December 28.

It is alleged the two males and one female were armed with a knife when they approached three occupants in a red Hyundai Kona on Blackwood Drive about 12.55am.

They allegedly threatened the male driver, demanding his keys before fleeing in the vehicle.

The 76-year-old man and two women aged 51 and 77, were not physically injured during the incident.

The Hyundai was tracked to the Dandenong area before it was dumped on Heatherton Road.

The three offenders then allegedly got into a red Nissan Dualis and fled the scene.

The Dualis was pursued by police through multiple suburbs along the Monash Freeway, before coming to a stop on Princes Highway, Pakenham.

The three occupants, aged 17, 16 and 13-years-old from the Casey area, were arrested at the scene.

The 16-year-old male from the Casey area has been bailed and charged with:

– Theft of Motor Vehicle

– Handle Stolen Goods

– Theft

– Fraudulently Use Registration Plate

– Dangerous Driving Whilst Pursued by Police

– Unlicensed Driving

A 13-year-old girl from the Casey area has been bailed and charged with:

– Theft of Motor Vehicle

– Handle Stolen Goods

– Fraudulently Use Registration Plate

– Theft

A 17-year-old male from the Casey area has been bailed and charged with:

– Theft of Motor Vehicle

– Handle Stolen Goods

– Theft

– Fraudulently Use Registration Plate
