Christmas spirit arrives on Main Street

The Christmas spirit has arrived on Main Street thanks to the efforts of local traders and rotarians.

Locals have missed the festival feel in the town centre for many years, but this time Main Street will not go without, as Pakenham Rotary installed 16 Christmas trees and traders have provided their own decorations.

Rotary secured approval from Cardinia Shire Council and members descended on Main Street on Sunday 7 December to install the trees.

Funds were generously provided by Pakenham Mowers & Chainsaws and the trees were secured from Dandenong Christmas Tree Farm.

Before, Main Street began to put up their own decorations, initially on Mr Yakkerboo and Blue.

After the trees were installed, they continued and decorated each one.

Pakenham RSL also took the opportunity to raise the flag on the John and Main Street roundabout.
