Man charged with double-murder in Clyde North

A man has been charged over the alleged fatal stabbing of two men at a party at a home in Clyde North in January.

The 30-year-old, of no fixed place of address, was arrested by Victoria Police in Doveton on Tuesday afternoon (18 November).

He was interviewed by detectives and charged with two counts of murder.

The man was remanded overnight to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court the following day.

Two men aged 23 and 54 from Seaford were found with stab wounds to their upper bodies after reports of an altercation at a home on Observatory Street on Thursday, 16 January.

Medical treatment was provided to the two men, however both died at the scene.

Police will allege the parties involved were known to each other.
