Students from across Victoria took to the stage at John Cain Arena on Saturday for the Victorian State Schools Spectacular, ‘On Air,’ delivering a dazzling mix of song, dance, and circus performance.
Celebrating 30 years as a highlight of the state’s cultural calendar, the show featured pop hits, powerful ballads, gravity-defying aerial acrobatics, and dynamic dance routines, all accompanied by a 75-piece orchestra. Audiences were treated to a high-energy spectacle that celebrated young talent, collaboration, and creativity.
Southeast students played a prominent role. James and Joice from Pakenham Secondary College and Willow from Officer Secondary College performed with the Victorian State Schools Choir, while mass choir contributions came from Pakenham Consolidated School, Pakenham Springs Primary, Berwick Lodge Primary, and Kambrya College. Dance performances included students from Pakenham Secondary College, Officer Primary School, and Kambrya Secondary College.
The Victorian State Schools Spectacular provides government school students with a unique opportunity to develop skills, confidence, and pride in their schools while fostering resilience and a love for the performing arts.
