Red Cross fundraiser delights

The Annual Fashion Parade and Luncheon for the Berwick Friends of Red Cross was another delightful event, ably assisted by the Ladies of the Friendship Group of St Andrew’s Uniting Church last Wednesday 6 August. The early morning drizzle may have deterred some of the usual patrons, but we still managed a good attendance and a successful result for Cliche Clothing, who showed a good range of winter clothes as well as a look at the range for the summer months.

The models did a wonderful job on the catwalk, including Rev Sue Stott-Floyd, Maureen Harris, Lesley Smith and Suzee Stephenson.

The raffle was well supported by many of our local Berwick Traders – thanks to the Berwick Inn, Shanikas Restaurant, The Chemist Discount Centre, The Wholesome Food Shop and the Bodega Cafe – their prizes were very much appreciated.

Times may be tough at present, but the healthy sum of $1100 was raised by a small group of enthusiastic ladies.
