10 years strong

A decade of faith, community, and transformation was joyfully marked as Follow Church in Officer threw open its doors for a massive birthday bash, celebrating 10 years of God’s goodness and unshakable community spirit.

The church campus at 80 Tivendale Road was alive with laughter, music, and heartfelt gratitude as families, friends, and neighbours gathered for an unforgettable day of festivities. The event featured live music, food trucks, games, a jumping castle, face painting, and more—offering fun for all ages.

“We couldn’t celebrate the story of Follow without celebrating the people—because people are the heart of everything God has done here,” a church spokesperson said.

“We are deeply grateful—for every hand lifted, every heart invested, and every step taken together. This journey wouldn’t be what it is without you.”

The purchase of the factory was only the first part of the process.

“Securing a town planning permit to use our factory as a place of worship was one of the most challenging parts of our journey,” the spokesperson said.

“Despite our prayers and preparation, the Town Planning Department recommended rejecting our application—a decision that could have stopped everything.

“But God wasn’t done. In a powerful moment, with over 100 people from Follow showing up in support, the Mayor and councillors voted to overturn the recommendation and grant us the permit. The room erupted with joy—a moment we’ll never forget.”

The milestone drew support and praise from local leaders, including Cardinia Shire councillors Samantha-Jane Potter, Jack Kowarzik, Casey Thomsen, and Trudi Paton.

“What an honour to celebrate 10 years of service, kindness, and community with Follow Bless Collective,” Cr Samantha-Jane Potter shared.

“A heartfelt thank you to Pastor Luke and the entire team for the incredible work you are doing-quietly uplifting others, showing love in action, and being a steady presence for so many in need,” she shared.

“I was proud to attend alongside our Mayor, Cr Jack Kowarzic, Cr Casey Thomsen, and Cr Trudi Paton as we marked this special milestone. Here’s to the next decade of hope and compassion flowing through our community.”
