Person sent to hospital after collision damages light pole

A collision on Monday saw a car smash into a light pole with one person being sent to hospital.

The multi-vehicle incident occurred around 11am on 30 June at the intersection of Princes Highway and Army Road.

Though the exact circumstances of the crash are unknown, one vehicle involved ended up colliding with a light pole in the centre median.

The vehicle was heavily damaged in the front and it was reported that one person was transported to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.

The pole had a visible tilt after the crash and AusNet deployed a crew around 3pm to straighten the pole.

Victoria Police, Ambulance Victoria and Fire Rescue Victoria attended to the scene.
